The City of Bellaire has been informed by Union Pacific Railroad that they will be conducting maintenance work at two railroad crossings in the city. The maintenance work will require the temporary closure of the crossings and may cause some noise disturbance for nearby residents.
The details of the maintenance work are as follows:
- Bissonnet St. crossing: Saturday, May 27, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Bellaire Blvd. crossing: Monday, May 29, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During these times, the crossings will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians. Drivers and walkers are advised to use alternate routes. Residents living near the tracks may also hear train horns and maintenance workers overnight while the work is being done.
