Torchy’s Tacos will have a Grand Opening party at the new West U location on August 12 with free tacos, drinks and entertainment.
The following is a news release from Torchy’s:
Torchy’s Tacos, the popular Austin-based taco chain, is set to open a new West U restaurant on Aug. 14. This marks Torchy’s 14th location in the greater Houston area, located in the former Chuck E. Cheese space at 5537 Weslayan Street.
“Everyone knows that Houstonians love tacos – and we’re excited to expand our footprint into the West U community,” said G.J. Hart, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos. “While we’re growing rapidly throughout the Southwest, Texas is our home state, and we look forward to bringing even more Damn Good tacos to Houston.”
Guests can dine-in and enjoy delicious, craft casual options like the Trailer Park and Tipsy Chick tacos, Green Chile Queso and Torchy’s famed Taco of the Month in the 5,000-square-foot space. The West U location will also feature a full-service bar where customers can enjoy draft beer, fresh-squeezed margaritas and other signature cocktails. At Torchy’s, every taco, queso and margarita is made-to-order.
To celebrate the new restaurant opening, Torchy’s will host a grand opening party on Monday, Aug. 12 from 5-8 p.m. The community is invited to attend and enjoy free tacos, drinks and entertainment. In addition, free taco money will be up for grabs for one lucky winner who visits the new location when it opens for business on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
The West U restaurant is Torchy’s Tacos’ 55th location in Texas, and the chain has plans to open an additional three restaurants in the Houston area throughout 2019.
