The City of Bellaire is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Arrowood as the new Library Director. With an extensive library management and education background and a passion for fostering community engagement, Chris brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role.

Chris has previously served in various leadership positions, including Assistant Director of Bellaire City Library, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing library services and promoting literacy. His innovative approach and dedication to creating inclusive and dynamic library programs will be instrumental in advancing the mission of the Bellaire Library.

“We are excited to have Chris serve as our new Library Director,” said Beth Jones, Assistant City Manager. “His vision and expertise will enrich our library services and continue to provide valuable resources to the Bellaire community.”

In his new role, Chris will oversee the library’s operations, develop new programs, and work closely with staff and community members to ensure the library remains a vibrant and welcoming space for all.

“I am honored to be named the new Director of the Bellaire City Library and look forward to working with the community to continue the library’s tradition of excellence,” said Arrowood. “Together, our team will explore new opportunities to inspire learning, creativity, and connection.”
