From the City of Bellaire:
The Bellaire Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Board and the Bellaire Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department will host ’Planting Palooza-30 Days of Planting’! A city-wide effort to renew and grow our horticulture in the City during April.
“Planting Palooza” will be celebrated daily on social media and the City’s website for everyone to see how we are helping to keep our City healthy, beautiful, and green. Community partners, including Bellaire City Library, Nature Discovery Center, Evelyn’s Park, and many more will participate in interactive educational and planting events for kids and families. Additionally, we will feature lectures and helpful planting information by area experts. Trees for Houston will have information on planting available, and Bellaire Businesses Association will feature promotions to contribute to the initiative. We will be inviting fellow residents, area businesses, and organizations to help spread the message through their own social media and websites. We are looking ahead to 2021 with hope, optimism, and anticipation that we can find ways to make our city a little greener.
