This City of Bellaire proposed a new logo to represent the City. The design was unveiled several weeks ago and met with a less than ideal reception.
Along with the new logo design neighbors have been upset over […]

I really like the current logo. It represents the “City of Homes”. Plus it’s colorful. I just don’t like the proposed logo and not sure what its leaf represents.

I can barely even tell a letter is there and I don’t know what the bottom is supposed to be. It looks like a seed growing into a plant.

Who is the City Manager kicking back to again to spend our tax dollars this time? Are you still in favor of allowing him to raise our property taxes? He just sunk us into $40M in debt + interest. More than 1/2 goes to worthless digital water meters. 1/4 will go on sidewalks that cover over more permeable land making it the better to flood with. No one, no one and I mean no one, I speak with believes for a minute that Bellaire should have flooded. If you are going to flood Bellaire, it better be ALL of Bellaire. The Mayors house did not flood. The Mayors house sits closer to the Bayou and Meyerland that got the run-off from the Reservoirs. The City Manager is the only City Manager in Bellaire history that is allowed to break his contract with the Citizens of Bellaire and not reside in the City. Want to know why? His wife likes the kitchen in a house in Houston. Yes, that is it. So all you flooded citizens, think of that as you repair your kitchens and your homes to livable condition.
Think of that and your City Manager being preoccupied with logos, fonts and a suggestive fig leaf over the “B” so one of his buddies can pocket a quick $50k of our tax money.
Where did the mysterious $1M budget shortfall for “technology”suddenly appear from.
You trust the Mayor, the Council and this City Manager. The City Manager fired all the Directors and Executives in this City and put in his loyal incompetents.
When I see this get un-posted, I will know why. -
The City of Kerrville allowed Paul Hofmann to resign the City Manager’s position in lieu of his being fired. After a 2 year gap, Paul Hofmann’s claims employment with the The City of Castroville, a rural city with a population 2600. The job recruiter “failed” to tell the City of Bellaire that he was fired from the very position he is being hired for. The City went no further in its due diligence than what a “recruiter” presented and NOT present about Paul Hofmann.

Wow that’s enlightening.
