After many rumors it seems to be official that HEB will build a new store in Meyerland Plaza, in the northwest corner of the shopping center.
According to the Houston Chronicle, “the new 95,000-square-foot store will be built on and around the site of the former BBVA Compass Bank at Beechnut and Endicott. It will be built on stilts with two levels of parking. The first floor will have a curbside grocery pickup area, a store pharmacy and a replacement BBVA Compass Bank. The second floor will connect to the neighboring JCPenney via sky bridge.”
The store is expected to open in the Fall of 2019.
