The Great Pumpkin Hunt

The City of Bellaire Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department is busy hiding jack-o-lanterns full of prizes & candy for The Great Pumpkin Hunt scheduled for Thursday, October 25th. The spooktacular event begins at 4:00 pm with live music from The Lost Boys Band, but the hunt will start promptly at 4:30 pm in The Great Lawn, located at 7008 South Rice (behind City Hall). The hunt is open to boys and girls ages 10 and under!

All age groups should line up at the times listed below in their respective hunting areas:

4:30 pm – 4 and under Line up at the 4 and under section closest the pool.

4:30 pm – 5 – 10 years Line up at the 5 – 10 years section closest to the police station towards Jessamine.

Each jack-o-lantern has a small prize or candy inside but some will have prize coupons redeemable for special prizes courtesy of the Bellaire Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department. There will be one GREAT PUMPKIN in each age category that contains a ticket for a GRAND PRIZE!

The Great Pumpkin Hunt is a FREE event! Wear your Halloween costumes and don’t forget to visit with Honey Dew the Clown for face painting fun. After the hunt the kids can enjoy the moon jump and the Bellaire Optimist Club will have fun games and popcorn! Make sure to bring your candy bucket or sack and get there early, the pumpkins go quickly!
