The Bridal Extravaganza Show, the largest bridal planning showcase in the U.S., will return to the George R. Brown Convention Center with fashion shows ever, cakes, gowns, and local vendors on Saturday-Sunday, July 13-14, 2023, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and from Noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Brides, bridesmaids, mothers-of-the-bride, grooms, family, and wedding planners will have their pick of over 160 vendors that cater exclusively to the wedding industry.
The show will feature cake samples, décor, flowers, fashion shows, a gown gallery of over 200 wedding dresses, multiple Instagram walls for selfies, speaker presentations on the latest bridal fashion and trends, and entertainment from Houston’s top wedding professionals.
What’s new for the July 2024 show:
- To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show, couples have a chance to try their luck and win $40,000 when participating in the Dream “I Do” $40,000 Wedding Contest! Couples will be challenged to select six treasure chests. The lucky couple selecting the correct ones could walk away with $40,000 toward their dream wedding and honeymoon.
- Four additional lucky couples will win a professional engagement session in the “Before You Say I Do” Engagement Photo Area, where they will be pampered by a makeup artist and have their engagement photos taken by a professional photographer.
- Attendees will be able to try on gowns and take them home from the Lina V. Formals and Wanderlust Bridal Boutique booths.
- Guests can take a selfie with the Cocktail and Beer Burros from JZ Burros, who will be on-site at the Extravaganza!
- Join Deborah Elias of Elias Events for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Wedding Planning presentation, designed specifically for brides who want to learn how to use AI technology to make their wedding planning experience easier and more efficient. It will cover everything from apps and programs to help with designing the wedding to seating charts, budgets, and timelines, all with a focus on personalization and creativity. Brides and Grooms will leave feeling confident and excited to plan their dream wedding with the help of AI.
Brides will discover what they need leading up to their big day – from the garter to the getaway car to the honeymoon and everything in between for the entire wedding party. Couples will leave the event with a digital list of all of their favorite vendors with the BrideScan app, which allows engaged couples to connect with wedding professionals via a QR code.
The biannual event draws marriage-bound couples from all over Texas and beyond to find invaluable resources to plan the perfect wedding and to register to win major prizes. Top prizes include romantic honeymoons, shopping sprees, 10 bachelorette giveaways, and a weekend escape at Deer Lake Lodge.
