From the City of Bellaire:
We’re pleased to report that the contractor is making progress in collecting vegetation debris. The plan for tomorrow, August 2, is to begin the day in Sections 1C, 1D, 2B, 2C, 4C, and 4B. Then, they plan to move into Sections 1E and 4A.
Please avoid parking on the street in these areas in front of debris piles, as it may obstruct the collection trucks. Many of the streets in the remaining sections are narrow or have cul-de-sacs, and additional cars parked in the street can impede debris collection.
The trucks operate from 7 am to 7 pm daily, seven days a week, weather permitting and barring mechanical issues.
There is still a high volume of material, and our current estimate remains that debris collection will be completed within the next three to four weeks. The contractor is still collecting vegetation. They will collect fencing debris once city-wide vegetation pick-up has been completed.
