From the City of West University Place:
Effective Thursday, June 23 the City has entered Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency Plan. This stage calls for voluntary water conservation measures to reduce water consumption.
The City is asking residents to reassess their irrigation schedules and needs, and limit outdoor watering to only between the hours of 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Residents are also encouraged to avoid filling up swimming pools or outdoor tubs during this time.
Remember to check for water leaks including, dripping faucets, running toilets, and around your irrigation system.
As the Gulf Coast region has been experiencing severe to extreme drought conditions coupled with extreme temperatures, the City of Houston (West U’s surface water provider), has also called for water conservation measures from all its users.
