From the Bellaire Police Department:
Case 24-1136
On October 11, 2024 at approximately 2:30 AM Bellaire Police Dispatch received a report that a known female suspect in a Mercedes SUV was following a group of individuals in a Ford truck. The occupants of the Ford reported that the female suspect was the ex-girlfriend of a passenger and was believed to be armed with a pistol. The Ford truck arrived in front of the Bellaire Police Department at 5110 Jessamine in the apparent hopes of avoiding a confrontation with the female suspect.
As two Bellaire police officers in marked patrol cars arrived to meet with the occupants of the Ford, the female suspect circled around to the passenger side of the truck and fired several shots at the front seat passenger. A Bellaire police officer fired at the suspect vehicle as the suspect again circled around the truck. The suspect then sped away westbound on Jessamine towards Chimney Rock.
Officers rendered medical aid to the victim in the Ford truck who was struck several times. He was then transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition. No other injuries were reported. At this time the female suspect is still at large.
