From West University Place Police Department:
On 2/26/22 at approximately 4:14am, Officers responded to a Virtual Gate Hit regarding a stolen vehicle traveling westbound in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. Officers located the stolen vehicle parked in a nearby apartment complex with an occupant still inside. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, which led to the arrest of suspect Noah Mendoza. A search of the stolen vehicle lead to the discovery of drugs, an extensive amount of credit/debit cards and mail belonging to multiple people in the Houston area. The suspect was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Detectives are currently conducting a follow up investigation on the extensive amount of mail and credit/debit cards located at the scene.
The suspect does have criminal history for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Accident-Failed to Stop and Give Information.
