From the Bellaire Police Department:
On April 13, 2024, at 1930 hours, Bellaire Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 4500 block of Merrie Lane where the suspects operating a white Nissan sedan conducted an aggravated robbery on the complainant. During the robbery the suspects fired multiple rounds from a handgun at the complainant as they fled the area. Bellaire Detectives worked this scene and the subsequent follow up investigation which led to an arrest warrant to be issued on May 22, 2024, out of Harris County District Court 208 for Dedrick Flanagan for the felony offense of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
In a multi-agency effort including the Bellaire Criminal Investigations Division, Bellaire Special Response Team, Houston Police Department, Liberty County Sheriff's Office, Liberty County Constable Pct 6, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Cleveland Police Department, Splendora Police Department, Patton Village Police Department, and the Roman Forest Police Department worked together by tracking the defendant and capturing him on June 4, 2024. The defendant is currently in the Bellaire Police Department jail and waiting transfer into the Harris County Jail. Detectives are currently working to identify other suspects involved in this case.
