At approximately 12:32 PM this afternoon a marked Bellaire Patrol unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 5400 block of Braeburn. Two suspects exited their vehicle and fled on foot. One of the suspects drew a semi-automatic pistol, but did not fire at officers. 

Officer pursued the suspects on foot over fences and through yards. Bellaire, Houston, and West University Police established a perimeter. Officers caught both suspects as they fled through the back yards of home located on the east side of Prospect Place. A pistol believed to belong to the suspects was then located in a backyard on Carol Dr. It is unknown if both suspects were armed. 

Suspects were fleeing in a jagged line west by northwest through yards from the 5400 block of Braeburn and were caught on Prospect Place @ Evergreen. If you have a home in this area please check your yard and the immediate are of your home as the suspects may have disposed of second gun or other property. 

If you find a gun; do not touch it and call the Bellaire Police at 911 or 713-668-0487 immediately.
