On October 20, 2023 at 9:30 P.M. Officers with the West University Place Police Department responded to assist the Southside Place Police Department on a traffic stop conducted in the 6700 block of Stella Link Rd. inside the City of West University Place. Initial information revealed that the Southside Place PD Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and the driver exited and fled the scene on foot. The suspect was last seen running in the area of the 6700 block of Stella Link Rd. prompting additional officers with the Bellaire Police Department and Houston Police Department (patrol, K9 and Air Support) to assist with establishing a perimeter. A ground search was conducted but after an extensive search, the suspect was not located.

 

The Southside Place Police Department will be the primary investigative agency in this incident.
