From the Bellaire Police Officer Association:

D-Shift (Nights) is at it once again, bringing in some serious criminals and making our community safer every day! Here’s a rundown of just some of the impressive arrests they made over the weekend:

🚔 Officer Ibanez was on top of his game when he stopped a Dodge Charger, only to uncover it had been reported stolen since 2021 and had its original VIN swapped with a fraudulent one. Talk about a sharp eye! Officer Ibanez swiftly charged the driver with Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Tampering with Identification Numbers. Great job, Officer!

🚨 Sergeant Rios wasn’t slowing down either! While attempting to stop a moped, the driver refused to pull over, leading to a short pursuit. When the suspect finally stopped, things got intense. As Sergeant Rios and a West University Place Police Officer tried to place the suspect under arrest, the driver fought back and tried to grab the West U officer’s gun. But that didn’t work out for him! The suspect was quickly subdued and arrested. Charges? Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Terroristic Threat.

💥 But wait, there’s more! Officer Ibanez was back at it again, and attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic violation. The rider tried to make a run for it, but his skills weren’t up to par, and he fell off the bike! After further investigation, it was revealed that the motorcycle had been stolen earlier this month. Officer Ibanez charged him with Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.

🔥 Once again, D-Shift showcased some incredible work and commitment to keeping the community safe! Great work!👏👏 Keep it up!
