It is NOT necessary to boil water In  Bellaire or West U  

From the City if West University:

The West University Place Public Works Department is aware of the major water main break affecting neighborhoods surrounding West U.  As of current, West U’s Water Distribution System is running normally and is NOT affected by the break in the City of Houston.  

Staff continues to monitor the water distribution system and will send out additional information as needed.

From the City if Bellaire:

You may be aware that portions of the City of Houston are going to be without water for a period of time due to a 96” water line break near the East Loop.  We do not expect any service interruptions or changes in service level here in Bellaire.  City of Bellaire groundwater sources, plus our storage capacity, provides sufficient water supply for our needs for an extended period of time.

City of Houston recommends residents boil water through Friday.
