There is always debate over sidewalks in Bellaire. As a resident of a street that had piecemeal sidewalks for years I was so happy when the city added sidewalks where there were none and replaced those that were old and in terrible shape. I love being able to walk our dogs on the sidewalk and not have to walk in the street. 

I hear all the time that people don't use sidewalks and they walk in the street even when there are sidewalks but I rarely see anyone in the street on our block anymore. If I do it is a jogger. 

Unfortunately the next block has just a few sidewalks but I think they will be adding them in the sidewalk plan which will be great!
