Raised houses

I've head about people raising their homes but just saw a couple of these yesterday on Braeswood. It's incredible. The houses are so high off the ground. I really feel for the people that have to resort to this in order to keep their homes from flooding again.

I saw a picture in the news of one they raised but I haven't seen one in person. It did look unbelievably high like a one story house on the second story. And they said it's very expensive too. I guess these homeowners have run out of options. Sad!
