From the City of Bellaire:
There have been reports of an odor in the Bellaire community and surrounding area. The City of Bellaire is working with in conjunction with the City of Houston and other entities to find the source. Reports of a gas leak in the Meyerland area have been unconfirmed. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Did they every find out what it was? I never smelled it but just curious.
An update from the City of Bellaire:
We have received an update from Harris County Office of Emergency Management that the odor in the air on Thursday was from a release at a facility located at the corner of McHard and Almeda. The release drifted north and dissipated.
