From TxDOT:

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be hanging steel beams over a section of IH 610/West Loop southbound at Post Oak Boulevard on the weekends of July 12 and July 19, as work on the elevated dedicated bus lane continues. There will be several major closures associated with this work.

The following closures will occur from July 12 at 9 p.m. to July 15 at 5 a.m. and from July 19 at 9 p.m. to July 22 at 5 a.m.:

• There will be a total closure of IH 610/West Loop southbound from IH 10/Katy to Post Oak Road, including the IH 10/Katy direct connectors to IH 610 southbound. IH 610 southbound traffic will be required to detour to IH 10 eastbound or westbound. Eastbound traffic should continue IH 10 eastbound to downtown to US 69 South to IH 610 West Loop. IH 10 westbound traffic will be encouraged to detour in the vicinity of downtown to access IH 610 West Loop via US 69 southbound or continue downtown for alternate destinations.
• The US 290 east connector to IH 610/West Loop southbound will also be closed. Drivers can detour by continuing on IH 610 North Loop eastbound to IH 45 South to US 69 South to IH 610 West Loop.
• IH 610/West Loop northbound will have two inside lanes closed from S Post Oak Rd to Woodway Dr.

There will also be a total closure of IH 610/West Loop southbound from IH 10/Katy to Post Oak Road on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday following each weekend closure from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Those nightly closures will be July 15 - 17 and July 22 - 24. Drivers will be forced off IH 610/West Loop southbound at Post Oak Road and can reenter at the next entrance ramp. Police officers will be on scene to assist with traffic flow. All closures are subject to change due to inclement weather. TXDOT is asking drivers to continue to be cautious in the construction area.

The IH 610 West Loop Dedicated Bus Lane project aims to improve mobility and safety by adding dedicated right of way and separating buses from general traffic to help reduce congestion on IH 610/West Loop. This TxDOT project will work in tandem with the dedicated bus lane project under construction by the City of Houston and Uptown Management District, which is already underway from IH 610/West Loop to Richmond.
