Update 8/7/23

Temporary lane closures continue this week at the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and the corner of South Rice Avenue as crews repair the road after last week's waterline break.

Update 8/3/23

A second waterline break has occurred at the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and South Rice Avenue. Crews will begin repairs at 10:00 P.M. this evening and overnight to minimize the impact on the public. Please expect lanes at the intersection to be closed as needed. At least one lane of traffic will be open if possible. Water disruptions should be minimal, but if you experience a water disruption in this area, please report it to Bellaire Public Works at 713-662-8170 or Bellaire PD non-emergency at 713-668-0487.

A major waterline break has occurred at the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and South Rice Avenue (August 2). The intersection will be closed until the break has been repaired. We anticipate an all-day closure. We encourage you to use alternate routes and follow the detours to avoid traffic delays in this area.
