From the City of West University:

The City of West University Place is accepting applications for positions on the Zoning and Planning Commission, the Zoning Board of Adjustments, the Building and Standards Commission, the Parks Board, the Senior Services Board, the Recycling and Solid Waste Reduction Board, and for expiring terms on the Friends of West U Parks Fund, Inc. (Friends Board).  Please review the summary of boards and commissions  for a summary of responsibilities and time commitments.

The deadline to submit an application is July 8, 2019 by mail to City Secretary Thelma Gilliam at 3800 University Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77005, by fax to 713.662.5305, or by email to tgilliam@westutx.gov.

Shortly after the deadline, applicants will be contacted for an interview.  Selected applicants will begin service on September 1, 2019 and will serve a 2-year term that will expire on August 31, 2021, with the exception of the Friends appointees who will serve 3-year terms that expire on August 31, 2022.
