From BPD:
Rape Aggression Defense System for Women class
The Bellaire Police Department is teaching a RAD class and has a few spots open.
The Rape Aggression Defense System for Women is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. RAD Systems provides comprehensive courses that begin with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by certified RAD Instructors and provide you with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth.
This class is open to women only, and observers are not allowed. Students aged between 14 and 17 must have a parent or guardian attending the class. The class is 12 hours over three days, and light to moderate physical activities will be required.
June 9th from 3pm - 7pm
June 10th from 6 - 10pm
