The Bellaire Police Department would like to invite you to the first ever Bellaire Citizens Police Academy. Be a part of history and apply for Class #1!!!
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a police officer on patrol? Ever asked yourself, “Why did that police officer do that?” Perhaps a news story made you question the actions of the police, or the events that followed. Maybe you have had an interest in law enforcement and want to get a “behind-the-badge” view of what the police do. If any of these apply to you, then the Bellaire Citizens Police Academy is for you.
The academy is an 8-week program that is designed to give participants a view of law enforcement and the criminal justice system from the perspective of a Bellaire Police Officer on patrol.
Students will receive instruction on Wednesday nights from 07:00pm to 09:00pm on different subjects on policing.
The Citizens Police Academy is open to all residents that live or work in the Bellaire area. Applicants are subject to a basic background check to ensure the integrity of the program. Must be at least 18 years old.
