Bellaire Police Department was officially approved by the FAA to conduct Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations!

This is a huge first step toward launching our Drone as First Responder (DFR) program. This innovative program will allow a drone to deploy from a dock and fly ahead of officers to a scene, providing a real-time aerial view to responding officers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
