Mayor Pappas highlighted his State of the City Address, saying “On February 5, 2024, I presented the State of the City address and was happy to report that the state of the City is strong, and not by our own subjective opinion but objectively. We were named one of the top 12 most family-friendly cities in the country. Of course, if you caught my address, the reasons were in abundance, most notably, we only spend money we have, we pay our debts, our parks are among the best around, we have an outstanding police and fire fighting force, our city staff and employees care about our City, and it shows in how our City runs and operates.”
