From the Bellaire Police Department:
On 01/23/2025, a female customer left a Wells Fargo Bank in Houston and drove to the 5800 block of Bissonnet. It was later determined that she had been followed by a newer model grey SUV as she left the bank.
While in her vehicle, a younger black male, dressed in all black, opened her passenger door, stole her purse, and fled to the waiting grey SUV. The SUV quickly sped off from the scene.
The Bellaire Police Department advises you to stay vigilant, especially after leaving a bank. If you notice a vehicle following you, make a few random turns to see if it continues to follow. If it does, contact your local police department immediately.
