Natalie Romero, a 2016 gradutate of Bellaire High School, was among those injured when a car drove into a crowd of people in Charlottesville Virginia. She is recovering in a hospital there.

KHOU reports that Natalie “suffered a small skull fracture and multiple injuries to her face. Her mother, Erica Chaves, says she has talked to her daughter over the phone since Saturday’s attack. Natalie texted her mom Saturday morning and told her she would be attending the white nationalist rally to stand up again racism.”

At Bellaire, Natalie was in the school’s JROTC program and received a full scholorship to the University of Virginia.
