Two new Bellaire City Council members were elected in the December 14 runoff election. While the results are unofficial, all 385 voting centers were reported.

In the race for term limited Council Member Pat McLaughlin’s Position 4 seat, Nathan Wesely got 59.06% of the vote while Winfred Frazier got 40.94% of the vote.

In the race for Council Member Position 6 seat, Jim Hotze got 58.64% of the vote while incumbent David Montague received 41.36% of the vote.

Voter turnout was down from the general election where 3,502 (28.06%) out of 12,481 registered Bellaire voters cast their ballots. Only 2,619 (20.98%) voters turned out for the runoff.
