REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS

The METRONext Moving Forward Plan outlining the plans for mass transit in the greater Houston area and a potential November 2019 Bond Program was presented by representatives of Houston METRO.

The FY 2018 Annual Audit and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) was presented by Lupe Garcia from Whitely Penn, LLP, Certified Public Accountants and accepted by Council.

REGULAR SESSION ACTION ITEMS

Approved amendments to the City’s Investment Strategy by making minor grammatical revisions and updating the list of authorized brokers.

Approved the suspension of prohibiting dogs and cats in Evelyn’s Park on April 13, 2019, for an event titled “Evelyn’s Bark.”

Approved an operating agreement for the Evelyn’s Park Phase 2 Master Plan for park improvements.

Approved amendments to Chapter 9, of the Bellaire Code of Ordinances, related to flood control by modifying the definition of substantial improvement, adding additional requirements for flood repair permits and codifying the City’s repair permit process following flooding events.

Authorized the City Manager to enter into negotiations for contracts in an amount not to exceed $126,320 with the Harris County Flood Control District and the Texas Department of Transportation to cooperatively develop a Master Drainage Concept Plan with the City of Bellaire.
