PUBLIC HEARING
Conducted a Public Hearing regarding a Specific Use Permit to allow for the operation of a drive-through automobile service station (Take 5) at 5235 Bellaire Blvd.
REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
The FY 2019 Third Quarter Report was presented by Chief Financial Officer Terrence Beaman.
A presentation requesting the re-establishment of the Bellaire Arts & Crafts Festival as an annual event was given by Andrew Williamson, Chair of the Culture and Arts Board.
REGULAR SESSION ACTION ITEMS
Denied the application of CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC to amend its Distribution Cost Recovery Factor.
Authorized the issuance of a $4,000,000.00 General Obligation Bond sale for the City of Bellaire for water and wastewater line replacements.
Authorized the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Harris County to allow disabled vehicles to be quickly cleared from freeways within the City, known as the Tow and Go program.
Amended an ordinance exempting all approved Harris County emergency wrecker services from being required to obtain a City of Bellaire Emergency Wrecker Permit as part of the Harris County Tow and Go program.
Authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with DRC Emergency Services, LLC, and Crowder Gulf, LLC, for the purchase of emergency debris removal services.
Authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Tetra Tech, Inc., and Witt O’Brien’s, LLC, for the purchase of monitoring services associated with disaster-generated debris removal, management, and related services.
Appointed Mark Koblenz to the Bellaire L.I.F.E. Advisory Board for a partial term ending on June 30, 2021.
Denied a request to re-zone the property at 4301 Bellaire Blvd. from a Residential District to a Corridor Mixed-Use District.
