PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS
The Bellaire Fire Department Medal of Valor was awarded to David Cagigas, Firefighter/Paramedic.
A Badge Pinning Ceremony was held for Lieutenant Thomas (TJ) Girt with the Bellaire Fire Department.
REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS
The monthly financial report for November 2019 was presented. Highlights included an overview of property tax revenues, salaries and benefits, and water revenues.
The status of the Spruce and Fifth Street Reconstruction Project was presented outlining project design modifications resulting from communication with the area businesses. The approval of the construction contract for the project is scheduled to be considered February 18, 2019.
REGULAR SESSION ACTION ITEMS
Adopted an ordinance allowing alcohol other than beer and wine to be served at the Evelyn’s Park Event Center and café. Beer and wine will also be allowed on the Evelyn’s Park great lawn area for special events by permit approval only.
Appointed Jason Taibel as a citizen member of the Audit Finance Board for a one-year term beginning February 1, 2019.
Appointed Mayor Friedberg and Council Members Verma and Fife to the Audit Finance Board for a one- year term beginning February 1, 2019.
