From the City of Bellaire:
Jessamine Street (between Fifth Street and S. Rice Avenue) will be closed from July 31 to August 21 to allow for underground utility work.
This work is part of the construction of the new Police / Court building and will impact vehicular traffic travelling east and westbound near the Bellaire Library. Parking will be limited in the immediate area during this closure, but library visitors may park in the parking lot between the Library and the Fire Station. Safe dedicated pedestrian paths will be maintained throughout the closure, and the Library will continue to operate at regularly scheduled hours.
We encourage you to plan your routes accordingly and allow yourself additional travel time.
