Details
You are invited to a Neighborhood Meeting to hear information, ask questions and provide valuable input for the Community Pathways Plan project.
This plan began in the fall of last year with recommendations set forth in the Comprehensive Plan and the Parks Master Plan. The purpose is to establish a network of pedestrian walkways, trails and bikeways throughout the City of Bellaire, with safe and convenient access within neighborhoods and between destinations. This planning document allows the City to identify funding opportunities through a programmatic approach.
At this meeting, you will see a presentation of the recommendations set forth thus far. It will include a map that identifies the network of pathways by priority, potential phasing, and preliminary cost estimates. If approved by City Council later this year, the highest priority projects could begin design and construction this year with funding identified for the last sidewalk phase in the Bonds for Better Bellaire 2016 Program. Recommendations that are not funded this year could be programmed in the Capital Improvement Program during the budgeting process.
The Neighborhood Meeting will be held at the CenterPoint Energy Community Center located at 7001 5th Street, Bellaire, Texas 77401 on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This room is located above the Bellaire Aquatic Center. We hope to see you there!
