The City of Bellaire is creating a Community Pathways Plan with the goal of improving bicycle and pedestrian travel throughout the City. Residents responded to a survey in 2013 which revealed that pedestrian and bicycle paths are a top need and priority.  There have been many improvements and additions of sidewalks in recent years and this plan will continue the effort to achieve a more comprehensive, highly-utilized and connected pathway system.

A survey has been posted on the project website and your input is needed.   You can access the survey by clicking on this link.   This survey will ask where you travel, how you travel, and what routes are taken to get there. This survey will be active until the middle of December.

A draft Community Pathways Plan is expected early next year along with a Neighborhood Meeting and City Council approval.   The plan is to design and fund the highest priority bicycle and pedestrian locations identified immediately after approval from City Council.

Information is available on the City of Bellaire’s Capital Improvement Program page under Project Scopes and Community Pathways Plan, or available by this link.  This page will link you to the project website, draft map and to take the survey.  Bookmark this link to your computer or phone and hit refresh to load the latest content.
