The City of Bellaire has successfully negotiated a new start date for debris removal. The new start date is this Friday, September 8. Debris removal will occur City wide, but the focus of the effort, especially within the first week, will be on the hardest hit areas of the City. The contractor, DRC Emergency Services, will be working from 7:00 AM till 7:00 PM seven days per week until the work is complete.
The City encourages residents to continue to separate normal solid waste from storm debris. This will facilitate both the debris removal as well as normal solid waste collection. Please also be aware that recycling services are suspended until further notice. Residents are welcome to hold onto their recyclable material or to put it in trash bags along with their regular solid waste.
