From the Bellaire Police Department:
On 01/27/2025, Officer Oliver conducted a traffic stop and successfully identified a vehicle tied to a credit card skimming investigation out of Jersey Village. During the stop, four credit card skimmers with cameras—devices commonly used to steal card information at gas pumps—were found.
Robert Napoles was arrested for unlawful use of a criminal instrument/ mechanical security device.

Using a store-branded credit card at gas stations can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of card skimming. These cards often work only at specific locations, making it harder for thieves to use your info elsewhere.
