From the City of Bellaire:

We understand that this is a very difficult time, and the City of Bellaire wants to thank you for your patience and willingness to help your neighbors with AC, clearing limbs and sharing meals and supplies.

City Management and staff have been in continuous contact with CenterPoint throughout this entire event, not only in the days after but before Beryl made landfall.  Despite our continued efforts, we understand many of you are still without power.  The City will continue to communicate with CenterPoint until all our residents have regained power, but we also stress the importance of you reaching out directly to CenterPoint to report outages and downed lines.

Trash & Debris:

The City of Bellaire is working hard to stay on top of trash collection and debris removal. Despite our ongoing efforts, Public Works has fallen behind on our regular trash collection schedule due to the amount of storm debris.

They are working to finish trash collection in sections A, B & E from yesterday and sections C & D today.  They are working to collect recycling in section E today.  If they do not pick up your trash & recycling today, they will finish these routes on Saturday.  If your trash is not picked up today, we suggest that you bring in your trash overnight and place it back on the curb by 7 am to avoid critters. We will notify you this afternoon with a trash collection update.

We will collect as much vegetation as possible with our equipment. We have a 3rd party debris removal contract for storm recovery, and they will begin early next week.
