Details

Join us on Saturday, April 27 from 10 am to 2 pm for a fun and informative, FREE, family-friendly event.

There will be nature and environmental activities crafts and exhibits for children, family nature hikes, live animals, and more.

Center staff and volunteers will set up stations focused on: our live animals and biofacts, native wildflowers and their pollinators in the Pocket Prairie, pond wildlife in Cypress Pond, and our edible plants and gardens out back by the pavilions. Plus we’ll have a kid-friendly nature art project, scheduled nature walks for the whole family, and a chance to make wildflower seed balls for those who don’t mind getting a little dirty for nature. We’ll also have an information table about Center programs and ways to support the Center and get involved with us! Local NDC partner organizations will be on site with information and activity tables as well. There will be something for everyone!

We are super excited to expand this event this year with the Nature Discovery Center’s first annual Native Plant Sale! Look for natives like Bluebonnets, Scarlet Sage, Black-Eyed Susan and more starting at just $5 per pot.
