DRIVE-THRU TENT IN NEWCASTLE PARKING LOT AT EVELYN’S PARK
ACME Party & Tent Rental Center trucks will be at a drive-through donation site in the Newcastle parking lot at Evelyn’s Park from 6 AM – 10 PM Wednesday, to collect disaster relief items for delivery to the George R. Brown Convention Center – Emergency Center for Hurricane Harvey shelter (GRB) and to Ben Taub Hospital.
ACME trucks will make the deliveries of the donated supplies to designated delivery points for the GRB and overflow emergency shelters, and to Ben Taub Hospital.
Donation site hours after Wednesday – To Be Determined
Only the following items can be accepted:
GRB items: · Diapers · Baby wipes · Baby formula · Baby food · Female hygiene products · Toiletries – travel size shampoo, conditioner, soap · Wheelchairs/walkers · Bottled water · Towels · Blankets · Socks (single packed and labeled with size) · Simple games: coloring books, canyons, pencils, etc. NEW ONLY · Notebooks *They do not need additional clothing donations at this time.
Ben Taub Hospital: · Peanut butter and jelly · Bread · Nutella · Bananas and apples · Bottled or boxed juices/water · Chips and popcorn or any other bagged snack foods to keep them ok for the next few days
