Tropical Storm Harvey is a stubborn storm and continues to hamper efforts to begin recovery operations. Please conclude all efforts to visit damaged homes prior to dark as water levels are beginning to rise again. Nonessential city services (city hall, permits, courts, parks and recreation, library) are suspended until further notice allowing Bellaire employees to focus on life safety and critical infrastructure restoration.
Again, please do not put trash or storm debris at the curb!
The following has changed since the last City of Bellaire posting:
- CenterPoint is restoring power in our area. The City of Bellaire has no control of when or where restoration takes place.
- Harris County is now under the Presidential Disaster Declaration
