Gus Pappas will be Bellaire’s next Mayor.

In the December 9 Runoff Election, Bellaire residents elected Gus Pappas to be the next Mayor of Bellaire.

Gus Pappas received 56.99% of the vote while Aaron Perry received 43.01%. Only 3,299 out of 13,539 registered voters cast their ballot in the runoff. Pappas’ term of office will begin January 8, 2024 and he will serve for two years. Newly elected Council members Cindy Cohen Taylor and Jackie Georgiou, along with re-elected Council member Catherine Lewis, will serve for four years.
