The City Council of the City of Bellaire, Texas, adopted Ordinance No. 23-035 on June 5, 2023.  Penalties, fines, or forfeitures related to a violation of the provisions of Ordinance No. 23-035 shall become enforceable not less than ten (10) days from the date the notice was published in the Southwest News (June 13, 2023) or on June 23, 2023.  The caption of Ordinance No. 23-035 reads as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELLAIRE, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 9.5, ALARM SYSTEMS, ARTICLE I, IN GENERAL, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BELLAIRE, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SEVERAL SECTIONS THEREIN FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVISING DEFINITIONS, CLARIFYING RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CITY AND OF ALARM PERMIT HOLDERS, ESTABLISHING TIMEFRAMES FOR PERMITS AND AMENDMENTS TO PERMITS, REQUIRING STANDBY POWER, AND REDUCING THE NUMBER OF FALSE ALARMS ALLOWED WITHOUT PENALTY.
