The City of West University Place received notification from the Union Pacific Railroad that maintenance on the tracks which run north/south Between West U and Bellaire will be receiving maintenance during the evening hours this week.
“Work will begin on Monday July 17, 2017 through Sunday July 23, 2017 from the hours of 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM each night.
It is important to note that compliant with Federal law trains traveling during the maintenance and repair period will be sounding their horns for the safety of the workers in this area which is typically part of the West Loop Quiet Zone. The following are the estimated dates and locations (crossings) of the maintenance and repair project.”

Update: The City of Bellaire sent a notice that the Bissonnet crossing will closed beginning at 8:00 pm July 17 until 2:00 am Tuesday July 18.
