City of Bellaire:
In observance of the New Year’s Day Holiday, all City Offices will be closed and there will be no solid waste collection services on Friday, December 31, 2021. Please note the following changes to the solid waste pickup schedule:
- Area C & D Garbage: Collection resume Tuesday January 4, 2022
- Area E Recycling: Collection resume Friday January 7, 2021
- Area A Limbs/Brush: Collection resume Friday January 7, 2022

City of West University:
City offices will be closed in observance of the New Year’s holiday on Friday, December 31. There will be no trash, recycling, or yard waste collection on this day. Recycling and yard waste normally collected on Friday will be collected Wednesday, December 29. Please hold your trash until your next regularly scheduled day Tuesday, January 4.
The West University Place Recreation Center will close at 5:30pm on Friday, December 31 and be closed on New Year’s Day Saturday, January 1. The Recreation Center will resume its regular operating schedule on Sunday, January 2.
