Residents wishing to run for Mayor or City Council will need to apply for a place on the City of Bellaire General Election ballot between Saturday July 17, 2021 and Monday August 16, 2021 at 5:00 pm.
The following positions will be on the November 2, 2021, ballot:
Mayor
Council Member, Position No. 1
Council Member, Position No. 3
Council Member, Position No. 5
The term of office for the position of mayor is two years from January 3, 2022, to January 8, 2024.
The term of office for the position of council member is four years from January 3, 2022, to January 5, 2026.
Apply at the City Clerk’s office, 7008 Rice Ave., first floor of City Hall. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, except holidays.
