The Bellaire Police Department has partnered with The Bridge over Troubled Waters which provides support, safety, emergency shelter, and mobile advocacy case management resources to survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
The following, from the Bellaire Police Department, shows how you can help this effort:
As National Crime Victim’s Rights Week approaches April 18th- 24th, we at the Bellaire Police Department are eager to continue making positive changes for the victims in our community.
This year we have decided to be more proactive in how we and YOU can become involved. The Bridge over Troubled Waters, Inc is one of our incredible partners who we are so fortunate to be able to work with.
The Bridge over Troubled Waters provides support, safety, emergency shelter, and mobile advocacy case management resources to survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence. The Bridge over Troubled Waters has agreed to always help the Bellaire Police Department if one of our officers encounters a victim in need of assistance. We could not be more lucky to have this amazing partnership.
However, their program needs some items to continue to support victims in the phenomenal capacity they do. One Bellaire, it is our turn now to support and stand up for the victims of any and all crime. It is our turn to be the voice and be the change this world needs right now. We can do that by making sure fantastic resources like The Bridge over Troubled Water has everything they need to continue to serve victims and provide a safe place for those in need.
Please see the list of items and donate what you can by Wednesday April 21st. You can bring the items to the Bellaire Police Department or call the Crime Victim Specialist at 713-662-2898 and discuss options for donation. We are all in this together.
