The 10th annual “Blessing of the Animals” will take place on the front lawn of Bellaire United Methodist Church on March 28 from noon until 2:00 p.m. People of all faiths can bring their dogs, cats, hamsters, fish or other pets to receive an individual blessing from one of the church’s pastors. Plus attendees will receive a FREE digital photo of that special moment from Nikky LaWell Photography. And you can meet adorable adoptable pets from Golden Beginnings Rescue, Westie & Scottie Rescue, Houston Cocker Spaniel Rescue, Bassett Buddies, Pug Hearts, Friends for Life, Rescued Pets Movement, Mission K-9 and Citizens for Animal Protection.
Across the street, Evelyn’s Park will be hosting their own pet event called “Evelyn’s Bark.” Both organizations are teaming up at the corner of Bellaire Boulevard and Newcastle on March 28 to create a big block party that will honor and celebrate our wonderful pet companions.
